Gentlekin is a pet sitting and dog walking service in Wokingham, Berkshire, run by Priscila Nerys. It is not an agency or a franchise: Priscila cares personally for local pets, with the trust of the families who recommended her.
Meet Priscila
Hi, I’m Priscila, the founder and principal carer behind Gentlekin. I started by helping neighbours in Wokingham care for their pets while they were working or away, and those small acts of help gradually grew through recommendations from local families.
I love giving pets calm, familiar care in their own homes, where they can keep the routines they know. For me, good pet care is not only about feeding or walking; it is about earning an animal’s trust and giving their owner the reassurance that someone dependable is looking after them.
How Priscila works
You always know who is caring for your pet. Priscila is the principal carer and your direct contact. You communicate with the person who actually visits your home.
Your pet's routine comes first. Before the first booking, the routine is written down: feeding, walks, habits, quirks, veterinary details and emergency contacts. Care follows your pet's normal day, not a standard checklist.
Communication is part of the service. You receive a photograph and a short update after each agreed visit. If anything ever seems wrong, you are contacted straight away, and if a pet's wellbeing is in doubt, Priscila contacts you and your registered vet rather than waiting.
Qualifications, checks and insurance
- Gentlekin holds pet-care business insurance with Protectivity.
- Gentlekin holds a current DBS check.
- Gentlekin is accredited in Dog First Aid and CPR.
- Gentlekin is accredited in Dog Grooming.
Occasional trusted support
Gentlekin is occasionally supported by a trusted part-time helper. Customers will always be told in advance if anyone other than Priscila may care for their pet, and an introduction can be arranged where appropriate.
